IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
According to our affiliation agreement with Minnesota Hockey, the membership boundary for CPYHA is defined by the geographic attendance boundary of Champlin Park High School. You can find out if your child’s residence or school is in our membership boundary by following this link to the Champlin Park High School Enrollment Area Map, https://www.excensus-guidek12.net/ahsd/school_search/2017/
Youth Hockey players must register and participate with the association whose boundaries incorporate the player’s residence. To participate on any other association's team, the player must obtain a waiver.
A waiver shall be granted to any player who wishes to participate in the MH association whose boundaries incorporate the school in which the player is enrolled and is attending.
Players waived for non-school attendance reasons shall be subject to review and approval by the CPYHA waiver committee.
ALL players that live outside the boundary of Champlin Park High School and open enroll into the school district need a waiver to play for CPYHA. Contact your home association to start the waiver process.
If you live in the boundary of Champlin Park High School and are waiving out of CPYHA, contact the CPYHA President to start the waiver process.
This process will need to be repeated with each school change, i.e. elementary to middle or middle to high school

SAFESPORT
Mandatory USA Hockey SafeSport Training for Coaches, Managers & Locker Room Attendants
Requirements for Coaches
All coaches, managers and locker room attendants will be required to complete the SafeSport Training. The SafeSport Training and Refresher Training are each valid for one (1) season beginning on 4/1/19.
Requirements for Other Program Volunteers
Other volunteers in USA Hockey programs that have regular, routine or frequent access to or supervision over youth participants ,such as team managers, locker room monitors, chaperones, etc., are required to complete the SafeSport Training prior to such access.
How to Take the Training
As of January 1, 2018, all relevant individuals who need to be SafeSport certified or are seeking recertification will need to complete the new three-course SafeSport training, which features updated content.
PLEASE NOTE that you will need your own USA Hockey Confirmation Number or Referee Number and your own email address to access the training. You can locate your number OR obtain a number here www.usahockeyregistration.com. If you will not be participating as a player, coach or referee, you can register at no cost under the ice manager/volunteer category to obtain your USA Hockey Confirmation Number.
